important!!! if someone tells you that they’ve struggled with mental illness in the past but they seem healthy to you now that DOES NOT invalidate their previous struggles! recovery is a good thing and you should be proud of them rather than doubt and question the legitimacy of their illness. remember that it’s constant hard work, and also remember that just because someone “seems” okay doesn’t mean that they are!
